Product Portfolios

A product portfolio is a group of products that delivers a common value to customers or caters to a certain customer segment. It helps distinguish geographic, economic, and cultural distribution of markets, helping organizations analyze the performance of product portfolios and make informed decisions. Factors that contribute to the development of a product portfolio include geographic expansion of markets, acquisitions, and internal product ideation and development.

The Product Portfolios workspace allows you to view, create, and manage product portfolios that group related products for easier tracking and governance. You can filter portfolios by status, sort by modified date, or switch between My Product Portfolios and All Product Portfolios to focus on your relevant view. See Filter Product Portfolios.

About Product Portfolios, Products, Releases, and Features

Access the Product Portfolio workspace

To access the Product Portfolio workspace, do the following:

1. Sign in to the Calibo Accelerate platform and in the left navigation pane, click Product Portfolios. On the Product Portfolios screen, on the My Product Portfolios tab, you can view the product portfolios created by you or the ones that you are associated with. The All Product Portfolios tab shows the product portfolios created across the organization.

2. Each Product Portfolio tile displays the following information:

   • Portfolio Name - The name of the product portfolio.

   • Status - Displays the approval status of the product portfolio. The different statuses can be - Draft, Approved, Rejected, Scheduled for Approval, or In Review.

   • Product Count - Displays the number of products associated with the product portfolio.

   • Owner and Last Modified Date - Displays the name of the user who created or modified the product portfolio and the data when it was last modified.

Actions to Perform in the Product Portfolios workspace

• Create or Edit a Product Portfolio - Create a new product portfolio or update an existing one. For detailed steps, see Create a Product Portfolio
• View Product Portfolio Details - Access detailed information about each portfolio, including its approval status, associated products, and modification history. See View Product Portfolio Details.
• View Associated Products - Click a Product Portfolio and then select click the Products tab to view the products associated with it. You can also click a specific product to view its details.
